Southwest Energy October Short Course
Join us at Seward County Community College for our October Short Course. SEI has been offering oil and gas technical sessions for over 65 years. Proceeds from each Institute are used exclusively for the expenses of the Institute, scholarships and PIE programs.

About The Event
The SEI has been offering technical sessions to the oil and gas industry for over 65 years. Participants may choose from four technical sessions. The technical sessions will meet Wednesday, October 9 through Thursday, October 10, 2019. Then, Friday, October 11, 2019, we invite everyone to join us for the 16th Annual Breeze Master Golf Tournament. The tournament raises scholarships for students seeking degrees in energy programs. We hope you will join us.

Kimray Regulators (Afternoon)
The Kimray Regulator short course will cover both integrated and packaged versions of regulators. This course will help you identify the designed purpose and advantages of each style of valve. Pressure restrictions of both categories of valves will be covered. We will look at the purpose of each component that makes up a packaged regulator. There will also be discussion about options available in cases when the application changes.

The course will be a discussion of the benefits of laser shaft alignment and the savings those benefits represent. It will include a demonstration of a laser shaft alignment and the various challenges a user can encounter.

There are many different tools available for making precision measurements. The right tool depends on the type of measurement and the required precision. This training will discuss the purpose and use of micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, feeler gauges, and gauge blocks. Attendees will also walk away understanding rod drop, rod run out, and bearing clearances.
